Our 16 new cottages are in walking distance to the castle and the concert venues.

The cottages have four bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, and a living room with kitchen.

Individual rooms can be booked at the Midsummer Night's Gala (22nd and 23rd June) and during the Grafenegg Festival (17th August to 9th September).

Entire cottages can be booked throughout the year.

Our innovative entry system allows you to access you cottage or room anytime, without key or card, using a number code which will be sent to you prior to your arrival.

The new gardens of the cottages were designed by the renowned British landscape designer Todd Longstaff Gowan. Over 350 new trees and shrubs have been planted.

53m3 of timber were used to build each house, thus storing approximately 850 tonnes of CO2 with the 16 cottages. The source of energy for the cottages is our own hydropower station making the houses virtually emission-free.

What are the prices for staying at the cottages?

Individual rooms can only be booked at the Midsummer Night's Gala (22nd & 23rd June) and during the Grafenegg Festival (17th August to 9th September) for € 80.00 per night including VAT.

Entire Cottages with 4 bedrooms can be booked throughout the year except on the above mentioned dates for € 260.00 per night including VAT. The use of WIFI is included in the price.

A surcharge of € 5.00 per room will be added for bookings of only one night only.


Is there Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and throughout Grafenegg free of charge.


How do I book a room or a cottage?

When can I book a room and when a cottage?

You can book your cottage any time. Individual rooms can only be booked for the Midsummer Night's Gala (22nd & 23rd June) and during the Grafenegg Festival from 17th August to 9th September.


Where do I get breakfast?

Breakfast and other services can be booked two weeks before the arrival. We will be sending you a link to the booking options. At the Midsummer Night's Gala and during the Grafenegg Festival breakfast can booked at the Old Barn right next to the cottages. If you book a cottage at any other time you can order breakfast which will be delivered to your cottage. In addition there are vending machines offering hot and cold beverages and snacks.


What about lunch and dinner?

There is a restaurant at Grafenegg which is open from March to Christmas offering special concert menus before and after the concerts. In addition there is a pique-nique pavilion where you can order your private pique-nique. There is also a wine shop on the estate and a number of local restaurants and "Heurigen" close by.


What other services can I book?

Upon booking your accommodation we will be sending you a confirmation by email. Two weeks before your arrival we will be contacting you again giving you options to book breakfast, other meals, pique-nique, etc.


How do I find the Cottages?

Guests of our Cottages may use a dedicated entrance to the grounds through the Krems gate.


When can the castle and the gardens be visited?

The castle is open from 14th April to 28th October, Wednesday to Sunday from 11:00 am to 5 pm. On concert days the castle is open until the beginning of the concert. The gardens may be visited free of charge at any time except on concert days after 4 pm when the grounds are restricted to visitors of the concerts.


Where do I park the car?

There are dedicated parking spaces available for guests of the cottages near the Old Barn. You may drive right up to your cottage for loading and unloading but parking is only allowed by the Old Barn.


Can I bring animals?

In general animals are not allowed in the cottages. If you are booking an entire cottage and want to bring your pet, please contact us by telephone prior to booking.


What are the rules for cancellation?

If you have to cancel your rooms following the booking we will charge you a fee of 10% of the cost of your booking. 

If you cancel within 4 weeks prior to your stay we will be charging you 50% of the cost of your booking.

If you cancel within 2 weeks prior to your stay we will be charging you 80% of the cost of your booking. 


Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is not allowed in the cottages but every room has a door to the garden.
